A Course in Divinity is based on 48 lessons or assignments. Each lesson reflects a specific aspect of life. It is designed to be undertaken over a 12 month period, there is no deadline and you can proceed at your own pace however, our experience is that to benefit fully regular commitment is essential.

Once you have completed the 48 assignments (there are 7 questions after each lesson for you to complete in your own time) they are collated for you and sent to California for marking. On successful completion of the Course you will receive a “Certificate in Divinity” from the International Metaphysical Ministry and you may choose to receive Ordination.

How the Programme Works:

You nominate the your choice of assignment structure & payment, purchasing these through the secure shop on this website for Course students.

Depending on which option you choose your lessons will be emailed to you.

You study the assignments, complete the questions attached to each assignment and email them to us.

Immediately you become involved in “A Course in Divinity” and start to live the teachings, your life will change. You will be embracing the power that is your Divine birthright.

Once you have completed all of the 48 assignments they are collated by us and sent to California for marking. On successful completion of the Course you will receive a “Certificate in Divinity” from the International Metaphysical Ministry and you may choose to receive Ordination. You will have received sufficient understanding to share your knowledge with others.

On completion of “A Course in Divinity” you are eligible to undertake the second year “Preparing to Counsel” programme and study aspects related to becoming a “Counselor in Metaphysics”.

However, our experience is that to fully benefit, regular commitment is essential . As with all things in life - you only get out what you put in.

The side benefits are real and worthwhile, but nothing is of any value unless….as Paul Masters says in the very first lesson….“you can demonstrate in your own life that you have grasped the basic fundamental principals.”

About the International Metaphysical Ministry
and its Founder, Dr Paul Leon Masters

Paul Masters started the International Metaphysical Ministry in the USA in 1959, establishing a programme to bring God or Universal Power or Divinity into people's lives.

In 1976 approval was received from the state of California to start a doctoral program in the field of metaphysics. At that time the lessons from the Metaphysical Ministry were put into a Home Study (Correspondence) form based on formulas adopted from accelerated learning techniques.

Responses came from all over the world and from humble beginnings the school has evolved. Dr. Masters tells us that "The programme has over 2000 enrolled at any one time and we have over 5000 graduates. We have about 1700 ministers of which 1200 are active. The students are engaged in all forms of metaphysical teaching, counseling and ministering."

In the New Testament, there's a phrase that Jesus says: "Call no man your Master. Not even I, for one is your master and that is the God within you." This is the philosophy the teachings of the Course of Practical Mysticism is based. The purpose of the Course is to bring people back to a single point of focus and to empower them to create and live their lives the way they want, which is the ultimate proof of being in touch with the God that you are.

Through the medium of "A Course in Divinity", our objective in Australia is to bring people an affordable Home Correspondence programme that once completed will encourage them through teaching and counseling to introduce the philosophy of the International Metaphysical Ministry into Australian communities.
